When I Nearly Fell Off The Chair

Surprises come in many shapes and forms, but this I totally didn't expect!

When I Nearly Fell Off The Chair

One Saturday morning I was sitting in my armchair and reading “Journey of Souls.”It’s a wonderful book that addresses an important question: What happens to souls between two incarnations? Where do we go? What do we do with that time?

My husband was sitting next to me, immersed in his New York Times.

“What are you reading?” he asked.

Journey of Souls.” I offered the briefest answer because my facts-and-logic guy didn’t need anything more.

Or so I thought.

“What’s it about?” he asked and I had this sudden urge to place my hand on his forehead to make sure he wasn’t running a fever.

Usually, just that title would’ve been enough to shut him up.

What was going on here?

“Well, it’s about…reincarnation and what happens to souls between the lives they choose to…”

He cut right in. “I’d like to read that book sometime.”

You could’ve knocked me over with a feather.

I was so silenced by his response that he turned to look at me. “Right now, I have a lot going on. But someday I will.”

In the days when I tried to force his interest in the direction that would align with mine, there was nothing but frustration for both of us.

When I finally learned to surrender and let him live in his lane, I started to notice startling changes. He edged closer and closer to my way of living. Almost like he was peeking over the fence to see what was going on the other side.

This is what I teach in my three-month program SACRED SOUL UNION. How to live in your lane and let your husband live in his, especially when you’re living a soulful life.

We’re not open for registration now because we’re in session. But if you’re interested in the 2022 group, you can get on the waitlist.

Sending you big hugs!
